Sophia Lillis was first seen in the reality television series ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ in 2012. The following year, she appeared in a short film titled ‘The Lipstick Stain’ where she played the role of ‘Addie.’ She went on to star in short films like ‘The Garden’ (2016) and ‘Tiny Mammals’ (2017), before making her big-screen debut as ‘Beverly Marsh’ in the 2017 American coming-of-age supernatural horror film ‘It’ directed by Andy Muschietti. In 2018, she joined the main cast of the American psychological thriller television miniseries, ‘Sharp Objects,’ as ‘young Camille Preaker.’ The following year, she starred in the American teen mystery comedy film ‘Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase’ directed by Katt Shea. The film received positive to mixed reviews from critics. That same year, she reprised her role as ‘Beverly Marsh’ in ‘It Chapter Two,’ the sequel/second half to the 2017 film ‘It.’ The film opened to a positive reception and was a major box office success, grossing over $473.1 million against a budget of $79 million.
Lillis starred as ‘Beth Bledsoe’ in the 2020 American comedy-drama film ‘Uncle Frank.’ The film was positively reviewed by critics. In 2020, she also appeared in the dark fantasy horror film ‘Gretel & Hansel’ directed by Oz Perkins. The film received mostly positive reviews upon release and was a financial success. Lillis is all set to appear in the upcoming fantasy adventure film ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ where she will play the role of ‘Doric.’ She will also be seen in the upcoming romantic comedy-drama film ‘Asteroid City’ directed by Wes Anderson.
