Ryan Sheckler is best known for his star performance on MTV’s reality series ‘Life of Ryan’ (2007 – 2009). He quit the third season of the series in the middle, as he felt that it was taking him away from professional skateboarding.
In 2012, he launched the Red Bull online video series ‘Sheckler Sessions’ that featured Plan B Skateboards.
Sheckler has appeared as himself in a number of television series that include ‘What’s New Scooby-Doo’ (2003), ‘True Jackson VP’ (2008), and ‘Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory’ (2009).
He has received appreciation in films like ‘The Tooth Fairy’ (2010) and ‘Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D’ (2012). He appeared as Neil Nellis in the film ‘MPV 2: Most Vertical Primate’ (2001) and as Eric Jones in the film ‘Street Dreams’ (2009).
He has also featured in videogames like ‘Tony Hawk’s Underground 2’ and ‘Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground’.
Fox Weekly ranked him as one of the ‘15 Most Influential Skateboards of All Time.’
