Rory Calhoun was an American actor, producer, and screenwriter. He is best remembered for starring in Western films, such as ‘The Silver Whip’ (1953), ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’ (1953), and ‘River of No Return’ (1954). Rory made his screen debut in the film ‘Something for the Boys’ (1944). He made his TV debut as ‘Jeff Blade’ in ‘The Ford Television Theatre,’ in 1954. Some of his popular appearances came in TV shows, such as, ‘Massacre River’ (1947), ‘I’d Climb the Highest Mountain’ (1951), ‘The Looters’ (1955), ‘Young Fury’ (1960), ‘Bitter Heritage’ (1979), and ‘Pure Country’ (1992). Some of his unsuccessful film projects include ‘Adventure Island’ (1947), ‘Thunder in Carolina’ (1960), and ‘Roller Blade Warriors:Taken By Force’ (1989). Some of his TV show appearances came in shows, such as ‘The Texan’ (1958-60), ‘Capitol’ (1982-87), and ‘Tales from the Crypt’ (1993).
