Ramya Krishnan, who has acted in five Indian languages, first worked in the Malayalam-language film ‘Neram Pularumbol’ (1986), but her Tamil-language film ‘Vellai Manasu’ (1985) was released first.
Krishnan’s notable Tamil-language films are ‘Ammoru’ (1995), ‘Padayappa’ (1999), ‘Pattali’ (1999), ‘Panchatanthiram’ (2002), ‘Jaya’ (2002), ‘Super Deluxe’ (2019), and ‘Thaana Serndha Koottam’ (2018), for which she won nominations.
The noteworthy Telugu-language films Krishnan starred in are ‘Madana Gopaludu’ (1987), acclaimed ‘Sutradharulu’ (1989), ‘Allari Priyadu’ (1993), ‘Annamayya’ (1997). Krishnan starred in the TV-series ‘Kalasam’ (2008-2009), ‘Arumugam’ (2009), ‘Kutti Pisasu,’ ‘Raja Kumari’ (2013). Her performance in the streaming-series ‘Queen’ (2019) fetched her acclaim.
