Peter Kay is best known for winning ‘So You Think You're Funny?,’ a stand-up comedy contest, in 1994. Peter made his screen debut in an episode of the British soap opera ‘Coronation Street,’ in 1997. He rose to fame when he played different characters in the British sitcom ‘Phoenix Nights’ (2001-02). Some of his other popular small screen appearances came in TV series, such as ‘That Peter Kay Thing’ (2000), ‘Peter Kay's Car Share’ (2015-18), ‘Cradle to Grave’ (2015),’ Peter Kay's Comedy Shuffle’ (2016-18), and ‘Inside No. 9’ (2017). He also voiced the character of ‘Big Chris’ in the British children’s TV series ‘Roary the Racing Car’ (2007-10). He made his film debut in the 2000 film ‘Going Off Big Time.’ Some of his other films are ‘Blow Dry’ (2001), ’24 House Party People’ (2002), ‘The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse’ (2005), and ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ (2005).
