Karen Grassle is an American actress, best known for playing ‘Caroline Ingalls’ in the TV show ‘Little House on the Prairie’ (1974-82). She made her ‘Broadway’ debut in the 1968 play ‘The Gingham Dog.’ She also starred in ‘Cymbeline’ around this time. ‘Little House on the Prairie’ was also her screen debut. It ran for a nine long years. Some of her popular TV appearances came in TV shows, such as ‘Gunsmoke’ (1974), ‘The Love Boat’ (1981), ‘Hotel’ (1983), and ‘Murder, She Wrote’ (1987, 1988). She made her feature film debut in the 1981 comedy drama ‘Harry’s War.’ Her other films include ‘Wyatt Earp’ (1994), ‘My Greatest Teacher’ (2012), and ‘Lasso’ (2017). Some of her TV films are ‘Crisis in Mid-air’ (1979), ‘Little House Years’ (1979), and ‘Little House: The Last Farewell’ (1984). She continues to do theatre for various productions in San Francisco.
