Francesca Gregorini is an Italian-American singer, director, and writer. She is the stepdaughter of Beatles’ famous drummer Ringo Starr. Before making her directorial debut, Gregorini worked as a musician, and released her own CD titled ‘Sequel’ (2003). She also contributed in the soundtracks of the 2001 film ‘See Jane Run.’
She made her debut as a director in a 2009 drama film ‘Tanner Hall,’ starring Brie Larson and Rooney Mara. The film, based on adolescent experiences of four girls in an all-girls boarding school, had its world premiere at the 2009 ‘Toronto International Film Festival.’
In 2013, Gregorini’s other film ‘The Truth About Emanuel’ premiered at the ‘2013 Sundance Film Festival.’ Gregorini also sold scripts to major production houses, including ‘HBO’ and ‘Paramount Pictures.’
In 2018, it was reported that Gregorini would be directing the second season of British drama TV show ‘Killing Eve’ (2018-present).
