Camila Sodi made her acting debut in the Mexican telenovela ‘Inocente de ti’ in 2004. She played the role of ‘Flor de María "Florecita" González’ and remained a part of the show until it went off-air in 2005. She went on to make her silver screen debut in the 2007 film ‘El búfalo de la noche,’ directed by Jorge Hernández Aldana. The following year, she starred as ‘Lilia Ascencio’ in the Roberto Sneider-directed Mexican film ‘Tear This Heart Out.’ The film was selected to represent Mexico at the 2009 ‘Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.’ In 2015, she portrayed ‘Valentina Cárdenas’ in the television series ‘Miss Dynamite,’ directed by Chava Cartas and Mauricio Cruz. That same year, she also joined the main cast of the Mexican telenovela ‘A que no me dejas’ as ‘Paulina Murat / Valentina Olmedo.’ The series aired 141 episodes in a span of 2 seasons before going off-air in 2016.
Camila Sodi next starred as ‘Emilia’ in the 2016 Mexican-American action comedy-drama film ‘Compadres,’ directed by Enrique Begne. The film was panned by critics and received a 33% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. In 2018, she became a part of the main cast of the Spanish-language American biographical television series ‘Luis Miguel: The Series,’ where she grabbed the role of ‘Erika.’ The series ran for 2 seasons and aired its final episode in 2021. Sodi also joined the main cast of the American drama television series ‘Falsa identidad’ in 2018. She played the role of ‘Isabel Fernández / Camila de Guevara / Lisa Dunn’ and remained a part of the show until it went off-air in 2021. She was last seen in the 2021 horror film ‘El exorcismo de Carmen Farías,’ directed by Rodrigo Fiallega.
