Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress, best known for her performance as ‘Sylvia’ in the Italian film ‘La Dolce Vita’ (1960). She made her screen debut in an uncredited role in the 1953 film ‘The Mississippi Gambler.’ She made her TV debut as ‘The Hubby Killer’ in the series ‘Private Secretary,’ in 1953. Some of her successful films are ‘Blood Alley’ (1955), ‘War and Peace’ (1956), ‘Pickup alley’ (1957), ‘Ambrogio’ (1992), and ‘Le nain rouge’ (1998). She also worked in a handful of unsuccessful films, such as, ‘Who Wants to Sleep’ (1965), ‘The Cobra’ (1967), ‘The Seduction of Angela’ (1986), ‘Cattive ragazze’ (1992), ‘The Divorce’ (1970), and ‘Deadly Trackers’ (1972). Anita also appeared in a number of TV series, such as, ‘Casablanca’ (1955), ‘Quando ancora non c'erano i Beatles’ (1988), and ‘Beauty Centre’ (2002), which was also Anita’s last screen appearance.
