Amber Rose Revah played the role as ‘Yasmin’ in LGBT-themed film ‘I Can’t Think Straight’ (2008) while she was studying at Brunel University. The makers of this film cast her as ‘Begum’ in their next (LGBT-based storyline) film, ‘The World Unseen’ which was released in 2007.
In 2008, Revah appeared as Saddam Hussein’s daughter ‘Hala’ in BAFTA-nominated TV-miniseries ‘House of Saddam.’ Next she appeared in two short-films, ‘Henna Night’ and ‘Taylor’s Trophy’ (both 2009) followed by historical-drama biopic, ‘Agora’ (2009) (about 4th century mathematician-philosopher Hypatia) wherein she worked alongside Rachel Weisz.
Further, Revah appeared opposite John Travolta in action-thriller film ‘From Paris With Love’ (2010) and also appeared in 2011’s films ‘The Devil’s Double’ as ‘Bride,’ drama-film ‘Everywhere and Nowhere’ as ‘Yasmin,’ and Indian Hindi-language action-thriller film ‘Aazaan’ as ‘Sofiya.’ She played ‘Maacah Bat Talmai’ in 3 episodes of historical-drama series ‘Borgia’ (2011).
Revah appeared as ‘Helena Landless’ in miniseries based on Charles Dickens’ last unfinished work, ‘The Mystery of Edwin Drood’ (2012) and played ‘Vidya Khan’ in drama-series ‘What Remains’ (2013). She portrayed ‘Mary Magdalene’ in TV-miniseries ‘The Bible’ (2013), TV-movie ‘Women of the Bible’ (2014), and reprised the role in successful epic biblical film ‘Son of God’ (2014) adopted from the miniseries.
