Alyssa Sutherland started working as a model after winning ‘Girlfriend’ magazine’s model search (1997) and modeled for top fashion brands. She made her film debut with major hit comedy-drama film adaption ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ (2006), and that same year, she starred in the film ‘Day on Fire.’
Further, Sutherland appeared in an episode of the TV-series ‘New Amsterdam’ and pilot (unsold) of ‘Huge’ (both 2008), followed by the horror movie ‘Don’t Look UP’ (2009). She featured on an episode (‘Bang’) of ‘Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit’ (2011), then the crime drama film ‘Arbitrage’ (2012), followed by ‘The Fortune Theory’ and ‘Spencer’ (both 2013).
In 2013, Sutherland appeared as ‘Queen Aslaug’ in the History Channel historical drama series ‘Vikings’ (2013-2016) which earned her popularity. Next, she played the role of ‘Eva Copeland’ in the sci-fi horror-thriller series ‘The Mist’ (2017), and appeared in the sci-fi series ‘Timeless’ (2018). In 2019, she featured in a ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ episode, ‘Plastic,’ and starred as the lead in the horror film ‘Blood Vessel.’
Sutherland next starred in the Australian drama miniseries ‘New Gold Mountain’ (2021) and will be seen in the supernatural horror-film ‘Evil Dead Rise’ (2022).
