Sivakarthikeyan is an Indian actor who works mainly in Tamil films. He started his career as a stand-up comedian and mimicry artist and got his first exposure on the comedy reality show on Star Vijay television channel. He won the competition and was offered the lead role in the Tamil comedy film ‘Marina’ (2012). The movie did well and he was picked up for a supporting role in the Tamil romantic psychological thriller ‘3’ and which he was given the credit of bringing humour into an otherwise serious film. Thereafter he appeared in the political comedy ‘Kedi Billa Kiladi Ranga’ and sports movie ‘Ethir Neechal’ in 2013. His biggest commercial box office hit till date is the romantic comedy ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’ for which he also sang a song for the promotional video. He later appeared with newcomer Keerthy Suresh in the Tamil masala film ‘Rajini Murugan’ (2015). His latest movies include ‘Mr. Local’ (2019) ‘Kousalya Krishnamurthy’ (2019) alongside Aishwarya Rajesh.
