Kirk Cameron kicked-off his acting career at the age of nine when he featured in a breakfast cereal advertisement. At the age of thirteen he appeared in his first starring role in ‘Two Marriages,’ the television series. At the same age he was seen in various films and television series. He shot to fame with ‘Growing Pains,’ the television sitcom where he portrayed Mike Seaver and for which he was nominated for the ‘Golden Globe Awards’ twice. By late 1980s, Cameron became a teen heartthrob appearing in various teen magazines and commercials. Some of his popular and notable film credits include, ‘Revive Us,’ ‘Left Behind: The Movie,’ ‘Like Father Like Son,’ ‘Left Behind II: Tribulation Force,’ ‘Saving Christmas,’ ‘Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers,’ ‘Fireproof,’ ‘Unstoppable,’ and ‘Monumental: In Search of America’s National Treasure,’ besides various others.
Jack Dundee is a banker who is still obsessed with the fact that he made a mistake which led to a tie in a 1972 high school football game. Jack has found it impossible to forget this event since that day, and on top this, even his father-in-law keeps reminding him of the event regularly. Therefore, he wishes to replay the game, but the others are not interested in doing so.
Like Father Like Son is a fantasy comedy film which tells the story of Chris, a mediocre high school student whose life takes a strange turn, after he switches minds with his father Jack, who is a well-known surgeon. They are forced to live the life of the other, and needless to say, this leads to problems in school as well as work. However, they both begin to develop an insight to the problems that the other faces.
Kirk’s sister’s annual Christmas party is about to be ruined by his brother-in law. Therefore, Kirk decides to show him the importance of the holiday season.
