American actor, comedian, and writer Jim Varney became famous with his role as Ernest P. Worrell in various television commercials and films for which he was recognised with a Daytime Emmy Award. His role as Prince Carlos in the television sitcom ‘Roseanne’ (1996) and voice recording for ‘The Simpsons’ (1998) received positive reviews.
His highest rated performances on the big screen are in ‘Toy Story’ (1995) and the sequel ‘Toy Story 2’ (1999), where he has done the voice recording for the character, Slinky Dog. ‘Ernest Goes to Camp’ (1987), ‘100 Proof’ (1997), and ‘Daddy and Them’ (2001) received positive reviews.
