English film director Jim Threapleton is known for writing and directing the 2007 drama film ‘Extraordinary Rendition’. Starring Omar Berdouni and Andy Serkis, the movie premiered at the ‘Locarno Film Festival’ and was later shown at the ‘Edinburgh Film Festival’. It won critical acclaim and was a success. His other work as a director was in an episode – titled ‘Party On’ – of the TV series ‘Dark Realm’ in 2001.
Earlier, Jim Threapleton began his career as a production runner in the TV series ‘London's Burning’. He then worked as an assistant director in the 1997 TV movie ‘Gobble’. He next worked as the third assistant director in the romance drama film ‘The Governess’ (1998), the adventure romance drama film ‘Hideous Kinky’ (1998), the sports romance comedy film ‘Don't Go Breaking My Heart’ (1999) and the action-adventure fantasy film ‘The Mummy’ (1999). Apart from these, he also worked as a third assistant director in four episodes of the TV Series ‘The Jump’. In ‘Hideous Kinky’, he also had an uncredited role as the man sitting on a wall.
