Han Ji-min was first seen in the 2003 South Korean television drama series ‘All In’ where she played the role of a young Su-yeon. That same year, she also played the role of ‘Shin-bi’ in the South Korean historical drama television series ‘Dae Jang Geum.’ Ji-min made her silver screen debut in the 2005 South Korean film ‘Blue Swallow’ directed by Yoon Jong-chan. While the film received a favorable response from critics, it failed to perform at the box office. Following her debut, she went on to star in films like ‘The Cut’ (2007), ‘Detective K: Secret of the Virtuous Widow’ (2011), ‘Ending Note’ (2012), and ‘The Plan Man’ (2014). In 2014, she portrayed ‘Queen Jeongsun’ in the South Korean film ‘The Fatal Encounter’ directed by Lee Jae-kyoo. The film received mixed to negative reviews from critics but was a commercial success. The following year, she appeared in the South Korean romance dramedy film ‘Salut d'Amour’ directed by Kang Je-gyu. The film received a ‘Golden Goblet Award’ nomination for ‘Best Film.’ Ji-min portrayed ‘Yeon Gye-soon’ in the 2016 South Korean period action thriller film ‘The Age of Shadows’ directed by Kim Jee-woon. The film was praised by critics and performed well at the box office, grossing over $55.3 million on a budget of $8.62 million. Ji-min was also nominated for the ‘Grand Bell Award’ and the ‘Baeksang Arts Award’ for her performance in the film.
She continued to star in films and television shows like ‘Keys to the Heart’ (2018), ‘Herstory’ (2018), ‘Miss Baek’ (2018), ‘Sovereign Default’ (2018), ‘The Light in Your Eyes’ (2019), ‘One Spring Night’ (2019), ‘Josée’ (2020), and ‘A Year-End Medley’ (2021). Ji-min last appeared in the 2022 South Korean television series ‘Our Blues’ where she played the role of ‘Lee Young-ok.’
