Allu Arjun first appeared as a child artist in the 1985 Telugu-language film ‘Vijetha’ directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. He made his official debut as ‘Simhadri’ in the drama film ‘Gangotri’ in 2003. The following year, he starred in the Telugu-language romantic action film ‘Arya’ directed by Sukumar. His performance as ‘Arya’ in the film earned him the ‘CineMAA Award’ and the ‘Nandi Award.’ Arjun went on to star in films like ‘Bunny’ (2005), ‘Happy’ (2006), ‘Desamuduru’ (2007), and ‘Parugu’ (2008). In 2009, he starred in ‘Arya 2,’ the spiritual sequel to the 2004 film ‘Arya.’ The film opened to a positive reception with critics praising the performance of Arjun.Â
He was next seen in ‘Vedam’ (2010), ‘Badrinath’ (2011), ‘Julayi’ (2012), and ‘Iddarammayilatho’ (2013). The year 2014 saw 3 releases of Arjun, including ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Race Gurram,’ both of which were amongst the highest-grossing Telugu films that year. The following year, he starred as ‘Viraj Anand’ in the Telugu-language action-drama film ‘S/O Satyamurthy.’ The film received a positive response from critics and was a commercial success. That same year, he also appeared in the Telugu-language 3D biographical action film ‘Rudhramadevi’ which was a massive box office success.
Allu Arjun was last seen in the 2020 Telugu-language action drama film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film received positive reviews and was a box office hit. Allu Arjun-starrer 'Pushpa: The Rise’ released in December 2021 and became a blockbuster hit, despite unfavorable reviews. Arjun plays ‘Pushpa Raj’ in the film.
