Moon Chae-won was first seen in the television series ‘Reconstruction of Love’ in 2007. That same year, she also appeared in the South Korean television series ‘Mackerel Run’ where she played the role of ‘Min Yoon-seo.’ The show was planned for 24 episodes but due to low ratings, it was canceled after 8 episodes. Chase-won went on to make her silver screen debut in the 2008 South Korean comedy-drama film ‘Our School's E.T,’ directed by Park Kwang-chun. The film grossed over US$3.6 million at the box office. She was next seen in the television series like ‘Brilliant Legacy’ (2009), ‘My Fair Lady’ (2009), ‘Road No. 1’ (2010), and ‘It's Okay, Daddy's Girl’ (2010). In 2011, she starred as ‘Choi Ja-in’ in the South Korean period action film ‘War of the Arrows,’ directed by Kim Han-min. The film was a major commercial success and became the highest-grossing Korean film of 2011. That same year, she also portrayed ‘Lee Se-ryung’ in the South Korean television series ‘The Princess' Man,’ written by Jo Jung-joo. Her performance in the series earned her 3 ‘KBS Drama Awards’ along with a ‘Korean Culture and Entertainment Award.’ She won 3 more ‘KBS Drama Awards’ for her portrayal of ‘Seo Eun-gi’ in the 2012 South Korean television series ‘The Innocent Man,’ created by Jeong Seong-hyo. The series aired a total of 20 episodes.
