Martina Stoessel was first seen in the Argentine telenovela ‘Patito Feo’ in 2007 where she played the role of ‘Martina / Young Anna.’ In 2012, she joined as the lead cast of the Argentine telenovela ‘Violetta’ as ‘Violetta Castillo.’ The series aired 240 episodes in a span of 3 seasons before going off-air in 2015.
Stoessel made her big-screen debut in the 2013 American computer-animated monster comedy film ‘Monsters University,’ directed by Dan Scanlon. The film met with positive reviews and performed well at the box office, grossing over $743.6 million on a $200 million budget. After starring in ‘Violetta: La emoción del concierto’ (2014) and ‘Violetta: The Journey’ (2015), Stoessel appeared in the 2016 Spanish–Italian film ‘Tini: The Movie,’ directed by Juan Pablo Buscarini. The film grossed over $17 million at the box office.
In 2019, she voiced ‘Moxy’ in the computer-animated musical adventure-comedy film ‘UglyDolls,’ directed by Kelly Asbury. The film received mostly negative reviews upon release and was a commercial failure. Stoessel last appeared in the Spanish reality talent show ‘La Voz’ in 2020. She will be next seen in the upcoming film ‘The Diary,’ directed by Jackie Chan.
