Isabelle Adjani is a French actress and singer, best known for playing ‘Adèle Hugo’ in the 1975 film ‘The Story of Adele H,’ which earned her an ‘Academy Award’ nomination. She earned another ‘Academy Award’ nomination for her lead role in the 1988 film ‘Camille Claudel.’ She is also the only actress to have won five ‘César Awards’ under ‘Best Actress’ category for ‘Possession’ (1981), ‘One Deadly Summer’ (1983), Camille Claudel’ (1988), ‘La Reine Margot (1994), and ‘Skirt Day’ (2009). Adjnai was 14, when she had her first starring role in the film ‘Le Petit Bougnat’ (1970). Some of her other popular films are ‘The Driver’ (1978), ‘Antonieta’ (1982), ‘Ishtar’ (1987), ‘Bon Voyage’ (2003), and ‘The World is Yours’ (2019). In 2010, she was conferred with ‘Chevalier of the Legion of Honour.’ In 2014, she was made the ‘Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.’
