Anne Buydens started working as a publicist, casting supervisor, and translator for subtitling, in the film industry of France during WWII.
Buydens was producer of 1948 program ‘Paris Cavalcade of Fashion.’ In 1952 she was production secretary-publicist for ‘Moulin Rouge,’ and publicist for ‘Act of Love’ (1953), where she met her future husband Kirk Douglas.
For ‘The Indian Fighter’ (1955) Buydens worked as casting supervisor. She acted only in TV series ‘The Jack Benny Program’ (1962). She appeared as herself in TV series ‘This is Your Life’ (1958-1960), ‘What’s My line?’ (1966), ‘The Merv Griffin Show’ (1971), ‘Salute to Lady Liberty’ (1984), ‘Apostrophes’ (1989), ’60 Minutes’ (1992) and few others.
Buydens was involved in Douglas’s production company, and was producer of ‘Scalawag’ (1973), ‘Possessions’ (1975), ‘Deep River’ (2009), and executive co-producer of documentary, ‘Kirk Douglas: Before I forget’ (2009).
